Massachusetts regulations require each public school district to maintain a School Wellness Advisory Committee that brings together school staff, families, students, and community partners to help review and guide district wellness policies and initiatives.
The committee will help us identify priorities, establish annual wellness goals, review our current practices, and consider ways we can continue strengthening a healthy and supportive school environment. Areas of focus may include:
-Student and staff wellness
-Nutrition and healthy school environments
-Physical education, physical activity, and healthy habits
-Social-emotional well-being and mental health
-School-wide wellness initiatives and education
The committee will meet at least four times during the school year. Meetings will be scheduled after school and will be collaborative and solutions-focused.
If you are interested in serving on the School Wellness Advisory Committee, please email
PAUL TEIXEIRA by Tuesday, September 29.
We hope you will consider joining us in helping shape our district’s wellness priorities for the coming year.
Thank you for everything you do each day to support our students and our school community!
