Marlee McKernan Selected For a Year of Project 351 Leadership & Service
PROVINCETOWN—Provincetown IB Schools is proud to announce MYP3 student Marlee McKernan as this year’s Project 351 Ambassador for Provincetown.
Marlee will spend a year working with Cradles to Crayons (C2C) to support its mission of leading clothing drives for the children served by C2C.
Marlee says she draws inspiration from her friends and family to participate in local fundraisers, including the Provincetown Swim for Life & Paddler Flotilla, which raises money for a variety of local non-profit and educational organizations. This past year for the 37th annual event, Marlee became the youngest participant to paddle 1.2 miles and raise more than $1,500.
“Seeing the beneficiaries receive and use funds I helped raise made me feel so proud, and I’m already planning to beat my fundraising goal this year,” Marlee said.
“The young people who serve with Project 351 are great examples of what makes Massachusetts a leader in so many important ways,” said Governor Maura Healey. “These Ambassadors demonstrate what is possible when we work together to make the changes we all want to see in our own communities.”

Color As Identity: The Lenore Ross Curating Program.
Provincetown students in MYP2 (7th Grade) have an exhibition at PAAM which is currently running until March 16th.
The Program consists of a series of components, takes place at both PAAM and in residency at the school, and is designed to accommodate a flexible timeline. Curated exhibitions may be installed at PAAM or if applicable, the school or alternative location. Grounded in the merits of utilizing art as an approach to learning, participants in the Lenore Ross Curating Program work with visiting artists and the Curator of Youth Education to creatively explore the integration of art and everyday life. Utilizing PAAM collection artwork as a focal point for broader academic and artistic exploration, the Program allows students to generate deeper understanding of a topic, creatively engage in their own learning process, and demonstrate their comprehension in artistic form.
